About the Dandy
The Dandy Flats is a self-built restoration and adaptive reuse effort by Justin Doak and Trevor Reichman. This 1885 three-story commercial building once housed the town pharmacy, doctors' apartment, office, operating room, and co-ed social club.
Since 2014, Justin and Trevor have been working to bring this once-dilapidated historic building back to life, while preserving its unique character and charm. They have created two distinct flats, The Quaintrelle and The Nonchalant, each with its own private exterior entry, living parlor, kitchen, bedroom, and private bath. The Dandy is also home to Nellie Rose Textiles in our street-level shop.
Dandy Flats is a place for travelers who seek a unique and immersive experience. It is a study in small-space design and reuse practices, and it is aesthetically curious, yet anchored by the building's period.
